Dubious license plate

FAIRFIELD - 4-13-13- A Fairfield police officer saw a Honda Civic with a dubious license plate Thursday night near North Texas Street and Oak Street.

The officer tried to pull over the Honda but the driver sped off, spurring a high-speed chase through Fairfield that led to Highway 12 and then to Suisun City where the Honda was found abandoned on Stamper Circle near Walters Road.

Police searched the backyards of homes in the area and Officer Frank Piro and his K-9 partner Ajax found Enrique Padilla, 24, of Fairfield, hiding in a shed.

Padilla was booked into Solano County jail on suspicion of felony evading, possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
